UNC refers to the Universal Naming Convention which is usually expressed as:

\\servername\sharename

In a network, UNC allows one to specify a shared area in a computer without having to specify (or know) the storage device it is on.

1. Reinstall the ALM and courses using UNC path specifications.

2. Obtain the name of the computer or server where the program is to be installed and the name of the drive share that everyone will be accessing the course through. Eg. Server name could be "SERVER1" if it is a workstation or "AWARE" if it is a server. Share name could be "c" or "d" or any name that is used to identify the share. Or...

To find the computer and/or server name and share name of a drive.

In the Windows explorer, click on network neighborhood and find the computer that has the drive that contains the program files. Select the computer or server name so that it is selected in the left windowpane and all of the shares for that machine are visible on the right side of the explorer. The name of the computer is visible on the left pane and the name of the share is visible on the right pane.
