When attempting to enter a course, an employee encounters a dialog box error that reads: "The system has detected that you are already logged on; as a result, you cannot logon again. Contact your system administrator."

This error message appears when permissions are incorrectly set for the Students.MDB, History.MDB or Tracking.MDB data files.

Users must have read/write permissions to the datafiles so that Aware can update their results & tracking as they're taking the course.

If employees don't have such permissions, then they will receive an error & Aware will exit.
There is a known problem where, in some cases, the exit routine will not then clear a "logged in" flag - and the user will therefore still be shown as logged in to the Aware system.

Solution:

• Check & correct permissions for the affected users. If you are using groups, then make sure users are members of the correct group.
  
  
• Ensure user is NOT currently using Aware product.
  
  
• Log in to Aware Administrator
• Choose Logged In Users from the main menu
• Select the affected user
• Click on Remove button. The log-in flag will be reset for this user.
  
• Read/execute permissions are needed on everything else.
