This is a permissions-related problem.

Permissions for end-users must be set so that users can read both the Course Files and Read/Update the database files used to track student progress.

This error occurs when users do not have proper permissions to the TBK and .SBK files stored in the appropriate Course Directory.

To fix this:

When setting the program up on a network, it is necessary to define permission status for users and administrators. Permissions are network access privileges. It is likely that for security reasons, the administrator will want to restrict user access.

It is necessary for learners to have full access to certain files to interface with the program. Administrators should have full access to all directories and files.

Minimum requirements for user access are:

  •   Read/write access to all .mda, .mdb, .ldb files and security.bin.
  •   Read/execute permissions are needed on everything else
